PARKS COMMISSION MEETING SCHEDULED FOR 1/17/2024 HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The Parks Commission is an elected body established for the purpose of acquiring and maintaining park land in East China Township. It has the express authority to acquire, maintain, manage and control township parks and places of recreation, including bathing beaches, and has the authority to condemn land for such purposes in accordance with the condemnation laws of the State.
The Parks Commission may accept (in the name of the township) gifts, grants and devises of land suitable for parks and places of recreation. They may also accept gifts and bequests of money for the acquisition and improvement of land for these purposes.
The Parks Commission meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm at the East China Township Hall unless noted otherwise.
